Martha Stewart Makes History as Oldest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Cover Model Ever

Martha Stewart has made history as the oldest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model ever. On Monday, the 81-year-old media personality revealed on NBC’s “TODAY” show that she is one of this year’s cover models for the issue, out May 18.

“When I heard that I was going to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, I thought, Oh, that’s pretty good, I’m going to be the oldest person I think ever on a cover of Sports Illustrated,” Stewart told the magazine.

The other three cover models this year are Megan Fox, Kim Petras and Brooks Nader. Stewart’s cover shot features her with tousled hair and a glamorous look. When asked about the photo, Stewart said with a giggle, “I like that picture.”

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue has been a staple of the magazine since 1964, and Stewart is the first woman over the age of 80 to grace the cover. The magazine has featured a variety of models over the years, ranging from supermodels to athletes and celebrities.
