A Tennessee Air National Guardsman was arrested and charged Thursday with applying to be a hitman on a parody website, officials say.

Josiah Ernesto Garcia, 21, was charged after submitting an employment inquiry to the website rentahitman.com, which is a spoof site that includes “testimonials” from purportedly satisfied hit-man customers.

According to a criminal complaint filed, Garcia indicated in February that he had “military experience, and rifle expertise” and requested an “in depth job description.”

The website was originally created in 2005 to “advertise a cyber security startup company,” the Justice Department said in a news release. When the startup failed, the website administrator converted it to a parody site with false testimonials from people who claimed to have used its services.

Garcia is currently being held in the Washington County Detention Center in Tennessee and is facing charges of solicitation of a crime of violence. If convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison.
