The U.S. Marshals Service and the Lake County Sheriff’s Office have arrested 16-year-old Tahj Brewton in connection with the shooting deaths of three teenagers in Central Florida.

Brewton was taken into custody on Saturday in Groveland, Florida, located 30 miles west of Orlando. He was wanted on outstanding warrants for carjacking with a firearm, aggravated assault, grand theft of a motor vehicle, fleeing or attempt to elude a law enforcement officer, and tampering with an electronic monitoring device.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office had offered up to $10,000 for information leading to the capture of Brewton, who had remained at large and was considered “armed and dangerous.”

The arrest of Brewton comes days after another teenager and a 12-year-old were charged in the deaths. The identities of the victims have not been released.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that Brewton is facing charges of carjacking with a firearm, aggravated assault, grand theft of a motor vehicle, fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer and tampering with an electronic monitoring device.

The investigation into the killings of the three teenagers is ongoing. No further information is available at this time.
