Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn Reportedly Split After Four Years Together

Pop star Taylor Swift and actor Joe Alwyn have reportedly split after four years together. Entertainment Tonight first reported the news, saying that the split occurred “a few weeks ago” and “was not dramatic.”

The couple began dating in late 2016, and their relationship was going well ahead of Swift’s “Midnights” album release in October. Swift and Alwyn worked together on a number of her projects, including “Folklore” and “Evermore.” Swift said her relationship with Alwyn served as inspiration for her song “Lavender Haze,” a phrase she learned describes being in love.

The pair were rumored to have met at the 2016 Met Gala and have kept their relationship mostly private. The only time they were photographed together publicly was at the 2020 Golden Globe Awards, when Swift was nominated for best original song for “Beautiful Ghosts” from “Cats.”

According to ET, the 33-year-old singer’s relationship with the British actor, 32, “had just run its course” and that is “why [Alwyn] hasn’t been spotted at any shows.” Swift is currently on her highly anticipated “Eras” tour. That same year, she gave Alwyn a shoutout after winning the Grammy for Album of the Year.

It is unclear what the future holds for the former couple, but fans of Swift and Alwyn are likely hoping for the best for them both.
