The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition, which advocates for safe biking in the city, described Boyes as a beloved local cyclist. Eyewitnesses said Boyes was traveling south on Arguello Boulevard when a car hit him. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died.
“We are deeply saddened by the death of Ethan Boyes, a beloved local cyclist and a champion of the sport,” said Craig Huffman, executive director of the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition. “Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time.”
