Rep. Jamaal Bowman’s Outburst on Capitol Hill Sparks Heated Debate Over Gun Control Legislation

On Wednesday, a heated debate erupted on Capitol Hill when Democratic Rep. Jamaal Bowman, a former middle school principal, yelled at his GOP colleagues for not supporting stricter gun measures in the wake of the Nashville school shooting. Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., of “carrying water for the gun lobby.”

They won’t do anything to save the lives of our children at all!” He continued, “More guns lead to more death. Carry guns? Cowards.”

Rep. Massie, who chairs the pro-gun Second Amendment Caucus, asked Bowman what he was talking about as he was walking past. Bowman responded, “Children are dying!”
