Three men were found guilty on Monday in connection with the 2018 murder and robbery of the late rapper XXXTentacion. The 20-year-old artist, whose real name was Jahseh Onfroy, was shot to death outside of a motorcycle shop in Deerfield Beach, north of Miami.

Michael Boatwright, 27, Dedrick Williams, 26, and Trayvon Newsome, 24, were each convicted on charges of first-degree murder and robbery with a firearm for the 2018 ambush that led to the death of XXXTentacion.

According to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, the rapper was in a car leaving Riva Motorsports when an SUV blocked his vehicle and two masked gunmen came out of it. One of the gunmen then repeatedly shot at the rapper, and the assailants grabbed a Louis Vuitton bag from the car with $50,000 inside and escaped in the SUV.

The jury deliberated for more than a week before coming to their decision. Following the verdict, a roadside memorial for XXXTentacion was set up in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

XXXTentacion, whose real name was Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, was a popular rapper and singer who had released two studio albums and had a successful career in the music industry. His death was a shock to many in the music industry, and his fans have been mourning his loss ever since.
