DeSantis Accuses Fox Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch of Disrespecting Former President Donald Trump

Fox Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch, prime time host Tucker Carlson and other top figures have been privately denigrating former President Donald Trump, according to recent reports. The reports also suggest that the conservative network has been airing voter fraud claims with little pushback.

Steve Bannon, a staunch ally of Donald Trump, recently called for a war against Fox News in response to explosive revelations from Dominion Voting Systems’ $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit against the network. Bannon accused Fox News of disrespecting the former president.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis sought to distance himself from Trump’s claim that he would be arrested Tuesday when he was asked about it at a news conference Monday. DeSantis warned “Old man Murdoch…no more softball interviews for the guys running against” the former president.

DeSantis also made a reference to the core of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s investigation, labeling any district attorney backed by billionaire George Soros as a “menace to society” who is ignoring local crime. He added that he had no interest in getting involved in any “manufactured circus” by Soros.

Finally, DeSantis said he had no knowledge of what goes into paying hush money to a porn star to secure silence over some type of alleged affair. He concluded by reiterating that he had no interest in getting involved in any “manufactured circus” by Soros.
