Kraft Heinz announced Tuesday that its popular Lunchables snack packs will now be available in school lunch programs starting this fall. The company said it will offer two different Lunchables offerings for the 2023-2024 school year: Turkey and Cheddar Cracker Stacker and Extra Cheesy Pizza.
School administrators will be able to purchase the Lunchables for students either for purchase in the lunchroom or for free through the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). Kraft Heinz did not disclose the cost to schools.
In addition to the two Lunchables offerings, the company said it’s also testing the addition of packaged Lunchables fruits for sale in grocery stores nationwide.
“We’re excited to bring Lunchables to schools and provide students with nutritious, delicious and convenient options that they can enjoy in the lunchroom or take home,” said Jenna Thornton, Kraft Heinz spokesperson.
The Turkey and Cheddar Lunchables include slices of turkey and cheddar with crackers, while the Extra Cheesy Pizza Lunchables include a Kraft cheese blend, pizza sauce and crusts.
Kraft Heinz said the new products will be available nationwide to all school administrators and will provide students with nutritious, delicious and convenient options.
