A 33-year-old woman is dead and nine others are injured after a large crowd pushed during a concert Sunday night in Rochester, New York, police said. According to Rochester Police Lt. Nicholas Adams, the injuries sustained by the victims were not consistent with a person being shot.

Rochester Police Chief David M. Smith said at a news briefing Monday that the injuries were caused by people being trampled. Officers found several people injured inside but saw no evidence of a shooting.

The concert, which featured rappers GloRilla and Finesse2tymes, ended just after 11 p.m. As people exited the venue, a surge began that caused the injuries. Smith said there was no evidence of gunshots being fired or of anyone being shot or stabbed at the scene.

The incident is currently under investigation. Police are asking anyone with information to contact them. The Rochester Police Department is also offering counseling services to those affected by the incident.
