Hong Kong police have charged four members of the same family with the murder of model and influencer Abby Choi, after investigators found what are believed to be parts of her dismembered body.
The four defendants, Alex Kwong, 28, his brother Anthony, 31, their father Kwong Kau, 65, and their mother Jenny Li, 63, appeared in court on Monday. Alex Kwong and his father and brother are charged with murder, while Jenny Li is charged with perverting the course of justice.
Abby Choi, 28, was a model and influencer who shared a glamorous life of photo shoots and fashion shows with more than 100,000 followers on Instagram. She went missing on February 21st, according to a report filed later with the Hong Kong Police.
On Sunday, investigators identified a skull, several ribs and hair, believed to be Choi’s remains, in a large stainless steel soup pot. Other body parts, including Choi’s torso and limbs, were found in a refrigerator.
