19-Year-Old Gang Member Arrested in Connection with Fatal Shootings of Three People in Orange County, Florida

A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of three people in Orange County, Florida. Keith Melvin Moses, a known gang member, is accused of shooting and killing 38-year-old Nathacha Augustin in a car Wednesday morning and then, later in the afternoon, shooting at two TV journalists who were in the area covering the first homicide, and killing a girl and wounding her mother after entering a nearby home.

Moses was arrested Wednesday evening following the shootings in the Pine Hills area, a community of around 66,000 just west of Orlando. The bodycam video of the arrest shows an officer driving up to Moses, arresting him with help from another officer and getting what looks like a gun out of the suspect’s pocket.

According to officials and his criminal background, Moses had a lengthy rap sheet that included arrests on grand theft and domestic violence charges. The first woman, the TV reporter and the 9-year-old died as a result of the shootings.

Orange County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the incident and have not released any further information. They have not yet released a motive for the shootings.

This tragedy has left the community of Pine Hills in shock and mourning. Local residents are hoping for justice and closure as the investigation into the shootings continues.
