Adam Frisch, the Colorado Democrat who came close to unseating far-right Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert in November, announced Tuesday that he will run again in 2024. Frisch made the announcement in a tweet accompanied by a campaign video laying out his background and why he wants to defeat Boebert.

“I am officially launching my campaign to unseat Lauren Boebert and restore dignity to #CO03 representation,” Frisch said. “We lost by a mere 546 votes in ’22 – the closest race in the country – and know we can make that up in ‘24.”

Boebert has represented Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District since 2020. She has not yet announced a reelection bid. The district, which former President Donald Trump would’ve won by nearly 8 percentage points in 2020, became more Republican after redistricting.

In his campaign video, Frisch criticized Boebert for being part of the “anger-tainment circus that is tearing our country apart.” He said he would work across party lines to bring people together and get things done.

Boebert’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The race between Frisch and Boebert in 2022 was one of the closest in the country, with Boebert winning by a mere 546 votes. It remains to be seen if Frisch can make up the difference in 2024.
