Massachusetts prosecutors have issued a murder warrant for Brian Walshe in the death of his wife, Ana Walshe, who has been missing from her Cohasset home since Jan. 1.

Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey announced the charge on Tuesday, but did not disclose details on what led investigators to the decision. Brian Walshe, 39, had previously been arrested on suspicion of misleading the investigation and is still in police custody.

Police said that the couple’s phone sent a signal to their home on Jan. 1 and Jan. 2 after Ana left to take a ride share to Logan Airport in Boston for a flight to Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C., but the mother of three hasn’t been seen since. Brian Walshe entered a not guilty plea on the charge of misleading investigators and is expected to be arraigned Wednesday on the murder charge.

“Additional details of the investigation and the evidence in support of those charges are likely to be presented at arraignment but will not be disclosed at this time,” Morrissey said. He could be arraigned on murder charges as early as Wednesday morning, authorities said.

Brian Walshe is being held on a $500,000 bond with initial charges of misleading investigators. The investigation into the disappearance of Ana Walshe is ongoing.
