The husband of a Massachusetts woman missing since New Year’s Day has been charged with misleading investigators in connection with her disappearance.
Brian Walshe, 47, was arraigned in Quincy District Court on Monday on a charge of misleading investigators who are searching for Ana Walshe, a 39-year-old mother of three who has not been seen in more than a week.
A prosecutor with the Norfolk District Attorney’s office said in court Monday that surveillance video showed Walshe buying $450 worth of cleaning supplies at a home improvement store the day after his wife was last seen.
Police also found a bloody and broken knife in the basement of the couple’s Cohasset home, the prosecutor said, although she did not say whose blood it was. Walshe was held on $500,000 bond on the charge of misleading investigators.
Ana Walshe’s family has been searching for her since she was reported missing on January 1. Her three children have been staying with relatives since her disappearance.
The investigation into Ana Walshe’s disappearance is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cohasset Police Department.
